Drivers and passengers of race cars who did not sign a release and receive a race participant wristband on Friday must do so before getting into a race car. This is handled at the big white circus-looking tent.
This wristband is separate from the one received at the gate and will be checked before you are allowed onto the track.
We will hold an additional safety meeting at 10:00 AM for all drivers and teams.
If the B Main is not completed on Friday, it will resume Saturday morning after the drivers meeting.
The A Main line-up will begin after the safety meeting, or immediately after the B Main is completed.
The 1st leg of the A Main is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
All A Main race teams must have four drivers for the Saturday A Main. Driver changes will take place every 25 laps, based on the lead car.
Thursday
Arrival / Setup / Early Camping
What’s Happening
Thursday is when teams, campers, and early arrivals start rolling in. It’s the best time to get settled, unload your gear, claim a good spot, and handle any last-minute race prep before the action starts Friday morning.
Camping / Parking Guidelines
Please keep campers, RVs, trailers, and long-term setups at least 150 feet from the track. This helps preserve spectator viewing areas, traffic flow, and a safe buffer around the racing surface.
Do not block access roads, pit traffic lanes, or common-use areas.
Livestock Reminder
The property is an active pasture. Cows and horses may still be in the field on Thursday during arrivals and setup.
If you arrive and need to enter through a gate, close the gate behind you after entering. If livestock is still being moved, keep the gate secured.
When in doubt, close the gate.
Friday
What’s Happening Friday
Friday is qualifying day.
Teams compete in heat races to earn their position for the A-Main race on Saturday.
Teams that do not qualify for the A Main in the heat races will compete in the B Main later in the day.
Registration / Driver Sign-In
All drivers and passengers of race cars must check in beginning at 9:00 AM at the big white circus-looking tent.
If your team has not yet paid for its car, or if you are a new team or bringing a new car that still needs to be registered, this must be completed during Friday registration.
Before entering a race car, each participant must:
Sign the required release waiver and
get an additional wristband.
This wristband is separate from the admission wristband received at the gate and will be checked before you are allowed onto the track.
Qualifying Day
Friday is required for teams wanting to compete on Saturday. You cannot show up on Saturday and race without first qualifying on Friday.
The B-Main will begin after all heat races have been completed.
The top finishers from each heat race will advance to the A Main race taking place on Saturday.
Lower finishing teams will receive a second opportunity to qualify for the A Main by competing in the B-Main on Friday evening. The top finishers of the B Main will advance to the A Main.
Saturday
Friday Transponder Setup & Testing
On Friday, transponders will be assigned to race cars and entered into the lap counting system.
These are used for the lap counting system and can be reused for future races if properly cared for.
There is an initial cost of $20 per pair for transponders, with one pair required per car.
Go Here for more information on Transponders
If your transponders are old (approximately two years or more), badly faded, left outside, or exposed to the elements, they will likely need to be replaced. If transponders are transferred from another car, the new car must use the same car number as the vehicle they were originally assigned to.
During the Friday heat races, the system will be actively tested to confirm transponders are reading properly and that scoring information is accurate.
Teams should make sure transponders are securely mounted before taking the track. If any issues are found, they should be addressed as soon as possible. More details on proper mounting location here.
If you have questions about placement or setup, ask another driver or look at a returning car for reference.
Drivers must have a functioning RACEceiver and respond to communications.
RACEceivers can be found at Day Motorsports in Tyler or on Amazon
